About to 2nd-to-None Service

2nd-to-None Service is a family owned and operated full–service truck and automobile shop.

2nd-to-None Service was established in 2007 by David Saline. After working 15 years for the dealerships, David decided he didn't want to drive 80 miles back and forth to work anymore. He had had enough of the dealerships and their lack of customer service. David had seen a need in the Moriarty, NM area for a reliable, qualified service shop–thus, the idea for 2nd-to-None Service was born. Since its opening, 2nd-to-None Service has boomed into a very successful business that strives to be the best in service and customer satisfaction.

We have been known to stay until the job is DONE! If that includes staying all night long then we will stay all night long.

2nd-to-None Service

We will work on anything under the sun that has a motor and rolls into the shop. We have worked on semi–trucks, cars, pickups, fire trucks, farm equipment, buses, four wheelers, and golf carts.

We also provide 24–hour call out service for professional drivers who are stuck on the side of the road.

Tire Shop

Our tire shop has been open for a year now and is bringing in business to the main shop. We stock new, used, and recap tires for semi–trucks as well as used and new for passenger cars. We have a wide variety of inventory for your needs, and if we don't have it, we'll get it for you.

Services we provide: Engine rebuilds, transmission removal, alternators, batteries, water pumps, injectors, overheads, brakes, set toe, wheel seals, brake chambers air systems, A/C systems, etc. IF IT'S ON YOUR TRUCK OR VEHICLE, WE CAN FIX IT!

Our Staff and Mechanics

David Saline, Owner

David has 21 years of experience in the field and is an ASE Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Master Technician, ASE Advanced Level Specialist, ASE Master Automobile Technician, and ASE Master School Bus Technician. He has over 40 certifications in total! David worked at the dealerships for 15 years, during which time he became certified in CAT, Cummins, International, and Detroit Engines.

David opened 2nd-to-None Service in 2007 to offer superior auto repair and customer service. In 2011, he competed in the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) SuperTech competition (which tests trucking industry technicians for written and hands–on tech skills) and ranked in the Top 30 Diesel Technicians in the U.S.

David strives to provide the community and travelers with the best service available. He loves a satisfied customer and enjoys seeing travelers safely back on the road in a timely fashion.

Lynnetta Rogers, Owner

Lynnetta grew up in the industry and can answer any questions you might have. She has managed a variety of businesses and has a background in accounting, so she keeps the business in line and efficient. Lynnetta sets goals for the company while overseeing the productivity of the employees.

When you come to the shop, Lynnetta works hard to make sure you get the best customer service available. From answering phones to writing up vehicles and shuttling customers back and forth from the motel or restaurant to the shop, Lynetta goes above and beyond to make you, our customer, happy. She strives to go above and beyond so you will refer 2nd-to-None to friends and family.

Lynnetta will drive the 40 miles to get your parts in record time. She has 21 years of customer service and management experience in the trucking industry, is ASE certified as a Parts Specialist and Customer Service Specialist, and will make sure your time at 2nd-to-None Service is positive.

Outside of the shop, David and Lynnetta have 4 boys who keep them busy in the local sports. The boys love wrestling and track and Lynnetta volunteers at all their meets. An active supporter of the community, she also plans all of 2nd-to-None Service's community involvement and charitable donations.

Jerhetta is our knowledgeable and dependable service writer. She has been working in the field for over 25 years. She is ready to help you out in any way she can. Come on by and visit her at the tire shop! She will make sure we provide you and your car with industry–leading service.

Matthew Darley, Mechanic

Jared Rado, Mechanic

jared is the service manager for our moriarty location. he has been with 2nd to none service since 2016. jared attended college at cnm university. there he graduated top of his class with a 4.0 gpa. as a former truck driver he understands what it means to suffer an unforeseeable calamity on the road and will work with you to ensure a fast and affordable repair solution. he has attended several training classes from dealerships such as kenworth and drivetrain industries to further his knowledge to better serve you the customer. completing several courses through the independent consulting firm management success as well, he is more then apt to help you with any repair need. jared loves helping people and states that this is by far the most rewarding job he has had, because he recieves pleasure from helping those that are in need.


ASE Blue Seal of Excellence

2nd-to-None Service has earned Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition as prescribed by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), a non–profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of vehicle repair and service by means of voluntary testing and certification for automotive repair and service professionals.

To be eligible for this recognition, a company must have 75% of its automotive professionals ASE certified. In addition, there must be a certified technician in each area of service offered. To remain in the program, a business must renew each year and confirm their professionals' certification status.

ASE Blue Seal of Excellence

There are only five other shops in the entire state of New Mexico recognized by the Blue Seal of Excellence.
